International experience becomes part of the classroom

The Department's academic staff participate in international education and research programmes, bringing new methods, technologies and academic practices back into teaching.

Experience gained through international placements, collaborative projects and publications is integrated into courses in materials science, engineering and design. This allows students to work with contemporary research approaches and European educational practices.

Department representatives participated in the Erasmus+ International Staff Week for professionals in metallurgy from 23 to 27 September 2024.

The programme supported professional exchange, international networking and the transfer of European academic practices into teaching.

International experience changes what we teach

International mobility is not treated as a separate activity: methods and knowledge gained abroad are incorporated into courses, laboratories and research-oriented teaching.

A Dnipro University of Technology delegation participated in an international meeting supported by TU Bergakademie Freiberg, together with partners from Germany, Hungary, Slovakia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Finland and Austria.

Discussions focused on the Open ESEE master's initiative, research topics, mobility opportunities and joint engineering education.
