The manual devoted to the basics of mining engineering graphics. It contains mining schemes with typical stylized images of mines and principles of their design and execution. The book provides description of projection methods and information on the theory and practice of geometric and projective constructions. Special attention is given to the practical solving of specific problems according to the topics of the Descriptive Geometry course. Each topic consists of the brief theoretical explanation, methods and examples of solving typical problems. The variants of individual tasks and comments on them are also provided. Each task is accompanied by the reference on the certain chapters of the manual and examples of its solution.

The manual devoted to the design methods of single-gear reducers using both traditional means of calculation and modern ones using the three-dimensional ASCON COMPAS modeling software. The book contains information on the theory and practice of geometric and computational drawing of machines parts that allows making three-dimensional images. The attention is given to solving the tasks related to the Machine Parts course. The technique of transition from three-dimensional models to the drawings of parts, assembly units and assemblies is explained. The formal rules of preparation of text and graphical documentation according to the national standards are provided.

The manual can be useful to the full-time and distance students who take the obligatory Descriptive Geometry course.
