RECYCLING MARKINGSSigns of compliance with environmental labeling standards of type I.
Products marked with this type of marking can legally be called "ecological" in comparison with products of a similar functional purpose that meet mandatory requirements. The principles and methods of applying such marking are established by the international standard ISO 14024.
A separate environmental labeling standard is being developed for each product category. Its requirements should complement or strengthen the mandatory requirements regarding resource consumption, environmental impact, chemical and other safety of the product or product.
The right to be labeled with such a label is granted to products if their compliance with the requirements of the standard is confirmed. The evaluation is carried out exclusively by an independent competent certification body or an environmental labeling body. Indicators of impacts on the state of the environment and human health at all stages of the life cycle are subject to expert assessment.
